About The Role
The Financial Analyst role at Oracle is a vital position responsible for supporting the organization’s financial and operational objectives through comprehensive analysis, reporting, and program implementation. This position involves providing financial programs to enhance analysis accuracy, operational efficiency, and compliance with organizational standards and Oracle business processes. The role requires a proactive individual capable of managing multiple projects, delivering insights, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams including Finance, Contracts, HR, Legal, and Shared Services. The Financial Analyst will be instrumental in managing project financials, supporting forecasting and planning activities, and ensuring accurate transaction processing. The position offers the flexibility of remote work within the US, with opportunities for travel as needed, and reports directly to an Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial data clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of relevant work experience in financial analysis, budgeting, planning, and forecasting
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
- Ability to collect, organize, and present data effectively in spreadsheets
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred
- Excellent analytical and research skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data management
- Experience working with multicultural and remote teams
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple inquiries and tasks
- Ability to travel within the US as required
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive financial support for project planning, control, and forecasting activities, including managing project hours, EACs, milestone tracking, invoicing, and billing
- Gather, model, analyze, and summarize financial data to prepare reports, forecasts, and recommendations on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis
- Perform revenue and expense analysis, headcount-driven expense tracking, and account reconciliation to support financial decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Contracts, HR, Legal, and Shared Services to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing
- Monitor and maintain project transaction controls, including project hours management, forecasting, and milestone management
- Support project managers in the EAC process, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and milestone tracking
- Oversee write-offs, credit holds, and non-billable tasks to maintain financial accuracy
- Assist in invoicing and billing processes to ensure timely revenue collection
- Provide operational support to ensure day-to-day organizational functions run smoothly
- Track key performance indicators, analyze variances, and communicate findings to management
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in financial management
