About The Role As our Founding Recruiter, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and scaling Numeral’s recruitment function. Your responsibilities will include managing the full-cycle hiring process across multiple departments including engineering, product, go-to-market, and operations. You will work closely with the executive team to develop and execute recruitment strategies that attract top-tier talent, ensuring alignment with company growth plans from 50 to 150 employees and beyond. This role requires a strategic mindset, a focus on quality over quantity, and the ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced startup environment. You will also be instrumental in building the recruiting infrastructure, including employer branding, candidate experience, and hiring systems, to support our scaling efforts. Collaborating with the Head of Talent, you will shape how recruitment functions within Numeral, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of recruiting experience, with at least 3+ years in early-stage startup environments
- Proven ability to manage multiple requisitions across technical and non-technical functions
- Expertise in sourcing top-tier candidates using innovative sourcing techniques
- Experience building and scaling recruiting processes, systems, and interview frameworks from scratch
- Comfortable working directly with C-level executives and serving as the primary point for hiring strategy
- Excellent communication, writing, and operational skills—clear, concise, and action-oriented
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and modern HR tech stacks such as Ashby, Rippling, or Pave (bonus)
- Passion for building team culture, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, and employer branding from ground zero
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end recruitment across all functions, including engineering, product, sales, and operations
- Partner with executives and hiring managers to initiate role kickoffs, define hiring criteria, and close top candidates
- Develop and scale recruiting operations, including ATS management, scheduling, dashboards, and interviewer calibration
- Manage sourcing strategies and candidate outreach to build a strong talent pipeline
- Create an exceptional candidate experience through transparent communication, prompt feedback, and personalized interactions
- Monitor and analyze recruiting metrics and KPIs to optimize hiring processes and inform decision-making
- Contribute to employer branding initiatives, referral programs, and internal recruiting enablement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve recruiting systems, processes, and candidate assessments
