About Starlake Management Group

Starlake Management Group is a new management consulting firm focused on partnering with organizations on digital transformation, strategy, operations, and M&A topics. We are execution-first, client-obsessed, and devoted to building enduring strategic value.

We are in our infancy, having launched just a few months ago. At present, we are focused on building a talent-dense, interdisciplinary core team of strategists, technologists, and operators, who embody relentless curiosity and are driven to create impact both internally and with our clients.

Role Description

As an Analyst at Starlake, you will be a core contributor across client engagements and internal initiatives. By nature of the company being early-stage, candidates should anticipate a demanding and relatively unstructured role.

You will work with clients directly, or in small high-performance teams across various engagements. We anticipate that the nature of engagements will diversify as we grow our firm.

Role duties encompass:

  • Conducting focused research and analysis to inform decision-making
  • Developing concise, executive-facing materials with clear logic and structure
  • Supporting design and execution of strategic and operational initiatives across a range of industries
  • Participating in client discussions and synthesis sessions alongside senior team members
  • Contributing to internal infrastructure as the firm scales through tools, processes, and IP

We expect Analysts to bring sound judgment, strong analytical instincts, and the ability to contribute meaningfully in fast-paced environments. You will be given responsibility early, and held to a high standard of precision, clarity, and follow-through.

Ideal Background

We would like to hear from those who have worked in high pressure situations and delivered against high expectations.

  • 0 to 2 years of experience in consulting, finance, or operating roles that required precision and velocity
  • Alternatively, current undergraduate or graduate student with a clear record of execution in high-pressure environments, co-curricular and academic achievement
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with an ability to structure problems and articulate solutions clearly
  • High personal standards, with the discipline to work independently and the judgment to know when to ask the right questions
  • A strong bias towards action, clarity, and extreme ownership & accountability

We are building a core team composed of individuals who are thoughtful, motivated, and are able to contribute in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. Despite being an early role, it involves real, deep responsibility and the opportunity to grow alongside the firm.

Education

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree (MBA, JD, or similar) in progress or completed
  • Strong academic performance in a rigorous, analytical discipline preferred
  • Evidence of ownership, clarity of thinking, and performance under pressure

Given the early-stage nature of the firm, we are currently operating at capacity. We will follow up with qualified applicants as soon as we’re able. We deeply appreciate everyone who applies and wish all candidates the very best, including those we may not be able to respond to individually.
