BGS – Government Training Engineering (GTE) is looking for a Contract Systems Engineer with engineering experience and a desire to support the development of aircrew training systems for one or more Air Dominance platforms, which include F-15, F-18, T-7A, MQ-25 and T-45. This position will provide an opportunity to help drive technical excellence through the development and management of Requirements, Architecture and Design (RAD) for GTE products utilized in the training of aircrew and maintenance personnel.

Position Responsibilities:

Evaluate customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements

Assist in the development of the system architecture

Document design elements

Document interface control documents

Ensure traceability between requirements and design elements

Allocate requirements to sub-system teams

Coordinate efforts and interfaces between multiple engineering disciplines

Understand, support, and apply agile principles, practices, and processes

Listen and support teams in problem identification, root cause analysis, and decision making

Participate in peer reviews of requirements, architecture and designs

Identify and recommend process improvement opportunities

An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Undergraduate degree in engineering

Must have 5 years’ experience within an engineering field

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Familiar with Cameo Systems Modeler/SysML

Familiar with DOORS

Experience working within a SAFe Agile organization utilizing planning tools such as Version One or JIRA

Experience with Training Systems and/or Boeing military aircraft platforms
