CardiaCare is a fast-growing medical device company developing a breakthrough non-invasive

therapy for atrial fibrillation (AFib). Our novel wearable integrates advanced cardiac arrhythmia

monitoring with proprietary neurostimulation to deliver closed-loop, patient-centric AFib

management. CardiaCare has completed multiple clinical studies and is now preparing for a

multi-center pivotal trial that will establish subsequent regulatory approval for commercialization.

Position Overview

The Head / Vice President of Operations will be responsible for driving operational excellence

across all of CardiaCare’s functions—including clinical, regulatory, manufacturing, and general

business operations. Reporting directly to the CEO, this leader will be a key partner to the

executive team, ensuring that projects, timelines, and budgets are aligned and executed with

discipline and urgency.

The Head / VP of Operations must be a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced startup

environment and is able to proactively detect and remove obstacles to execution. The ideal

candidate combines medical device operational experience with strong skills in program

management, cross-functional team alignment, optimizing team efficiency, and organizational

execution.

Key Responsibilities

● Support Operational Leadership: Drive company-wide execution across clinical,

regulatory, R&D, and manufacturing functions, ensuring alignment with timelines,

budgets, and strategic priorities.

Program & Project Management: Establish and maintain integrated project plans.

Track progress across multiple workstreams. Anticipate project and timeline risks and

proactively develop solutions. Implement and oversee company-wide operational

structure, detailed work plans, and project management tools (e.g., Jira). Ensure

disciplined project tracking and timely completion of deliverables across departments.

Establish detailed operational KPIs and routine reporting reviews (weekly, monthly,

quarterly, annually) for both the executive leadership and Board. Achieve >90% on-time

milestone execution across all major workstreams.

Support Internal Systems:Implement and oversee scalable operational systems (ERP,

QMS interfaces, inventory control, document management, etc.) to support clinical,

regulatory, and manufacturing workflows.

Budget & Resource Oversight: Support leadership in monitoring and managing

functional budgets; ensure resources and personnel are utilized efficiently.

Cross-Functional Alignment: Serve as the operational hub for the leadership team,

facilitating communication and collaboration across departments.

Manufacturing & Supply Chain Support: Partner with R&D and manufacturing teams

to ensure operational readiness, vendor management, and scale-up planning. Oversee

transition from advanced prototype to scalable manufacturing, including supplier

qualification, vendor audits, and assembly readiness in alignment with ISO 13485 and

FDA requirements. Coordinate operational dependencies between clinical execution,

regulatory documentation, and supply chain logistics for device shipments.

Clinical & Regulatory Support: Work closely with clinical and regulatory leadership to

ensure operational milestones stay on track.

Problem-Solving & Execution: Step in directly to resolve issues, remove roadblocks,

and keep projects moving forward at speed.

Systems & Processes: Implement tools, processes, and reporting mechanisms that

improve operational efficiency and organizational transparency.

Leadership & Culture: Model a hands-on, can-do attitude; mentor teams to embrace

accountability, collaboration, and urgency.

Qualifications

5-7+ years of operational leadership in the medical device industry; experience across

clinical, regulatory, and manufacturing strongly preferred.

● Demonstrated success in program and project management with complex, multi-

functional teams. Experience with advanced project management software tools, such

as Jira, Monday, Smartsheet, or other equivalent systems, strongly preferred.

● Proven ability to manage timelines, budgets, and resources in a fast-paced, resource-

constrained environment.

● Hands-on operator with a track record of solving problems directly and driving projects

forward.

● Strong business acumen with the ability to prioritize and execute on critical company

initiatives.

● Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to build trust

across diverse stakeholders.

● Medical device experience required; experience in cardiac or electrophysiology devices

is a strong plus.

● Action-oriented with a results-focused work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.

● Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in engineering, business, or life sciences

preferred.
