Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day operational support for a computing environment (e.g., computer center, unit computing, community of users).
- Ensure smooth running of IT operations by following well-established procedures.
- Deliver onsite deskside Tier 2 support.
- Perform and monitor stable and consistent IT processes such as:
- Communicate effectively via email with internal and external contacts.
- Identify and resolve problems using documented solutions.
- Escalate issues that fall outside the scope of established procedures.
- Apply basic technical knowledge to support operations and troubleshoot issues.
- Understand computing and networking fundamentals.
- Use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office, intranet, and internet tools.
- Follow computer security policies and understand general security concepts.
- Work with minimal supervision in a structured support environment.
