Top Required Skills
- Enterprise-level Active Directory (on-prem & Azure AD/Entra) design, migration, and management
- Expertise in Active Directory security best practices and automation

Must-Have Skills
- Active Directory design, migration, and configuration across multiple forests/domains
- Active Directory security implementation (tiered services, GPOs, PAWs, AD health monitoring)
- Active Directory backup/restore testing and ransomware protection
- In-depth knowledge of: On-prem AD, Azure AD / Microsoft Entra, ADFS, M365 Integration, Multi-factor Authentication, Windows Server Core
- Experience engineering, building, and supporting global AD environments
- Strong communication, documentation, and crisis management abilities
- Understanding of IT infrastructure (servers, storage, networking, virtualization, DR, cloud)
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Microsoft AD partitioning/tiering (Red Forest, Tier 0/1/2)
- Familiarity with Privileged Access Workstations (PAW), Netwrix PPE, or Quest Recovery Manager
- Manufacturing industry experience
- Experience with highly secure or regulated environments
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, and hybrid cloud models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
Key Responsibilities And Duties
- Design, install, configure, and operate Active Directory (on-prem and cloud) and related products
- Establish and maintain AD/Entra standards, policies, and guidelines in collaboration with IT and security teams
- Lead AD and Entra solution development, ensuring alignment with business and technology standards
- Provide technical leadership on AD/Entra-related projects and initiatives
- Support project startup activities — requirements, analysis, and technical consultation
- Mentor infrastructure teams on best practices for AD/Entra architecture and operations
- Manage change, incident, and problem resolution in line with Corning’s IT methodologies
- Communicate strategies and solutions across all organizational levels
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and escalation support for critical business issues
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred; High School Diploma/GED minimum (AAS or equivalent experience accepted)
- Experience: 7 years of Active Directory / Windows System Administration experience (enterprise level). 7 years managing production IT environments including cloud and hosting infrastructure
- Proven expertise in AD security, automation, and modernization projects
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
