Network Engineer
DPP is seeking Network Engineer for an opportunity in Cayce, SC.
Work arrangement:
- Fully onsite in Cayce, SC.
- W2 position; 12 months with possibility of extension
- Must reside in the Southeast of the US and relocate to SC prior to starting.
Position summary:
- Join a dynamic team dedicated to improving and optimizing infrastructure environments and tools. This is a new role focused on remediation efforts following a recent organizational split and supporting various agency initiatives.
- This is a collaborative team environment supporting IT best practices and infrastructure initiatives. Candidates should be self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to form productive working relationships at all organizational levels.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and support on-premises Active Directory and Azure Active Directory, including integration and synchronization of hybrid environments.
- Assist with review, cleanup, and redesign of Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce security settings and standardized configurations enterprise-wide.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and other automation tools to streamline and standardize administrative tasks.
- Perform user, group, and permissions management, including access control and role-based security enforcement.
- Collaborate closely with Cybersecurity teams to address vulnerabilities, respond to incidents, and improve overall security posture.
- Provide Tier 3 escalation support for complex technical issues affecting identity, access, or authentication.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- 3-5 years of experience with Windows Server Administration and Support.
- 3-5 years of strong proficiency in Group Policy (GPO) and PowerShell Scripting.
- 3-5 years hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory (On-Prem and Azure AD).
- Experience with Citrix Presentation Server or XenApp environments.
- Experience with enterprise backup and disaster recovery (DR) processes.
- Advanced knowledge of computer and network hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Experience with security and data classification standards (CDC, HIPAA, CJIS).
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise-level system architectures.
- Advanced knowledge of IT system analysis, design, testing, and maintenance techniques.
Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Experience with hosted virtual environments and foundational knowledge of Azure.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune and Quest KACE for endpoint management, software deployment, and compliance reporting.
- Experience with Linux Server.
- General understanding of Hitachi Storage (HNAS/HDI) or similar enterprise SAN/NAS environments.
- Network Certification – CCNA.
- Ability to align technical solutions with agency goals and objectives and support project delivery.
- Familiarity with AI-driven automation and predictive analytics for infrastructure optimization and future cloud initiatives.
Required education/equivalency:
- Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of equivalent experience.
