DPP is seeking a Senior Developer for an opportunity in Columbia, SC.

Work arrangement:

  • Partial onsite: 2-3 days onsite per week.
  • W2 position; 12 months

Position summary:

  • The Senior Developer will perform system management, user management, maintenance and support, and performance monitoring for an SAS server.
  • The ideal candidate has advanced analysis, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing (might present to the SAS user group).
  • Able to work well under pressure individually and as part of a team.
  • Extensive knowledge of interpersonal skills/team building. Familiar with project management concepts.
  • Work hours: Monday thru Friday 8:00-5:00 – plus potential overtime, on call, weekends

About the team:

  • There are six members of the BI team that currently support business objects and tableau.
  • This is a collaborative group with a strong sense of teamwork and support. They are goal driven and a high trust team expecting each other to do their jobs well including reaching out with questions or seeking help as needed.
  • They are committed to learning so everyone can grow and improve, prioritizing work life balance and supporting flexible work arrangements as possible.

Required technologies:

  • Application administration for Base SAS server
  • SAS Metadata Server
  • SAS Office Analytics running on Windows Server

Nice to have:

  • Database Management Systems (DBMS): Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, DB2, etc.
  • Programming Languages: Python (via SASPy), R, Java.

Minimum required work experience:

  • 8 years of application development, systems testing or other job-related experience

Required education/equivalencies:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree;
  • OR, Associates degree in CS, IT, or other job-related degree plus 2 years of work-related experience;
  • OR, 4 years job-related work experience (total 12 years without a degree)
