Position: AWS Architect
Contract: W2 Only
Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, developers, and DevOps teams to define cloud architecture and deployment strategies.

Evaluate business requirements and translate them into technical cloud solutions and architecture diagrams.

Define and implement cloud infrastructure best practices, including networking, security, monitoring, and cost optimization.

Lead cloud migration initiatives from on-premises or other platforms to AWS.
-
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like AWS CloudFormation , Terraform, or CDK.
-
Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards through proper identity, access management, and encryption mechanisms.
-
Troubleshoot and optimize cloud performance, scalability, and reliability.
-
Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployments and CI/CD pipelines.
-
Stay current with new AWS services, emerging cloud technologies, and best practices.
Required Skills
-
10 years of IT experience with at least 4 years in AWS architecture and solution design.

Strong expertise with AWS core services: EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, CloudFront, CloudWatch, and Route 53.

Proven experience in designing and deploying secure, scalable, and fault-tolerant architectures.

Hands-on experience with IaC tools (CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK).

Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts including VPN, Direct Connect, security groups, and load balancers.

Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).

Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS).

Solid understanding of monitoring, logging, and observability using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and third-party tools.

Knowledge of cost optimization strategies and Well-Architected Framework principles.

AWS Certification — AWS Certified Solutions Architect — Associate or Professional level preferred.
Nice-to-Have

Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud architectures.

Familiarity with serverless architectures using AWS Lambda and Step Functions.

Exposure to event-driven architecture and streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis).

Knowledge of database migration strategies and tools (DMS, Snowball, Glue).

Experience with security and compliance frameworks (SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR).

Familiarity with modern DevSecOps practices and automation.
