Swoon is actively seeking a Principal PostegreSQL Database Administrator (DBA) to join the team!

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain databases and database solutions as well as monitor and tune database and database application performance
• Manage database performance and disk usage, providing support for database analysis, modeling, coding, and production problem resolution
• Develop maintenance, backup and recovery procedures and documentation as well as disaster recovery
• Recommends and assists with new DBMS and operational standards

What’s Required? / Technical Skills

• 7+ years of experience in Database administration including PostgreSQL – Looking for a Subject Matter Expert
• 3+ years of experience with automation using Terraform or Ansible
• 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining complex applications that make extensive use of a supported database technology
• Highly preferred experience with 3+ years of experience in DB2 Luw, or CTE (CipherTrust Transparent Encryption)
• Experience with SQL Server, MySQL, and DB2 preferred
• Proficient in DML, DDL, and database utilities for at least two DBMS technologies

Education / Certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree Required
• PostgreSQL Professional Certification Highly preferred
• IBM Certified Database Administrator – Highly preferred

Location: HYBRID (Chicago, IL or Coppel, TX) – 3 days a week in office

Salary: $130,000 – $160,000 + 15% annual bonus
