Pictet Alternative Advisors (PAA) is a leading alternative investment specialist with expertise in hedge funds, private equity, global real estate and private debt. The Geneva-and London-based team constructs, manages and advises on portfolios of alternative investment solutions for institutional and private clients.

The Risk & Compliance team is composed of nine senior professionals split across London, Luxembourg and Geneva, specialising in Compliance, Operational Risks and Investment Risks. This teamplays a critical role in ensuring regulatory adherence while upholding the highest standards of compliance and operational integrity across the business.

To strengthen our AML Compliance team on a temporary basis, we are seeking a dynamic and motivated Intern eager to gain practical experience in anti-money laundering (AML) and compliance processes. The role will have a particular focus on conducting due diligence (DD) for private assets, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the integrity and compliance of private asset transactions. This internship provides a hands-on learning experience in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, ideal for individuals looking to deepen their expertise in AML and compliance. The position is available in either London or Geneva.

Your role


  • Conducting initial and on-going AML/CFT due diligence (and Know Your Asset/Transaction (KYA/KYT) processes, with a focus on private assets;
  • Assisting in the identification and assessment of risks associated with private asset transactions;
  • Assisting in the daily hits treatment from the screening results;
  • Contributing to the preparation and maintenance of AML/CFT Memo and risk assessment;
  • Collaborating with the team on compliance training initiatives and awareness programs for PAA.

Your profile


  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Law, Business, or a related field;
  • Proven strong analytical and organizational skills, with high attention to detail gained via previous experiences in the field of controlling, compliance, risk management or equivalent;
  • Existing knowledge of EU (Luxembourg) AML related regulations and private asset structures is an asset.
  • Proficiency in English; additional European languages (e.g., French) are a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment involving multi jurisdictions.
  • Curiosity and / or ease with new technologies (AI, data analytics etc) is also an asset.
