Salary: $25.00 USD Hourly – $30.00 USD Hourly

Description: About the Role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated QA Mobile Test Engineer to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for validating mobile device functionality across LTE and 5G networks. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure user equipment (UE) meets quality and carrier standards through rigorous field testing and log analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform LTE and 5G field protocol testing in live network environments.
  • Analyze UE logs using tools like QXDM, QCAT, Wireshark, and ShannonDM.
  • Validate IMS features including VoLTE, VoWiFi, ViLTE, SMS, MMS, and RCS.
  • Conduct SIM OTA activation testing and troubleshoot related issues.
  • Review and analyze KPIs to identify performance trends and optimization opportunities.
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to convert customer requirements into system-level test plans.
  • Prepare and execute test strategies to meet project deadlines.
  • Travel up to 25% for field testing and customer site visits.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience in mobile QA or field testing.
  • Strong understanding of LTE and 5G air interface and call processing technologies.
  • Familiarity with Radio Access Network (RAN) architecture.

Preferred Skills

  • Hands-on experience with UE log analysis tools (QXDM, QCAT, Wireshark).
  • Knowledge of OTA signaling and IMS-related features.
  • Experience in 5G NSA and SA environments.
  • Strong time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently in field environments (80% field, 20% office).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
