About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Front End Engineer to join our UI Community and Microsegmentation Product Team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and advancing our OT Security Platform, focusing on delivering innovative capabilities that enable customers to configure their networks around specific applications, workloads, or individual devices. Working within a matrix-style engineering environment, you will be responsible for architecting scalable UI systems, setting design standards, and mentoring engineers across teams to ensure the delivery of exceptional user experiences at scale. This position requires a product-focused engineer who is passionate about solving complex problems, improving customer outcomes, and raising the bar for engineering excellence. You will play a key role in defining technical strategy, fostering collaboration, and ensuring the platform’s UI remains performant, accessible, and user-centered.
Qualifications
- 6-8+ years of experience with modern front-end technologies such as React, TypeScript, Redux, etc.
- Proven expertise in architecting scalable UI systems and leading technical direction for frontend applications.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools and establishing best practices for their secure and effective adoption.
- Deep understanding of performance optimization and scalable UI architecture principles.
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and influencing cross-functional engineering teams.
- Proficiency with build tools like Vite, Turbo, Rollup, and Webpack, as well as CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions and Bitbucket.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks including Jest, RTL, and Playwright.
Responsibilities
- Architect and evolve scalable UI frameworks and subsystems to support the growth of the Dragos Platform.
- Define and drive technical strategy, establishing standards for performance, testing, and maintainability across the UI Community.
- Lead cross-team initiatives to improve workflows, tooling, and overall platform reliability.
- Collaborate with Product and Design teams to align system architecture with user experience goals and product requirements.
- Develop, test, and debug critical frontend applications, providing guidance on best practices to engineering teams.
- Review design and implementation work across multiple teams to ensure high-quality technical standards.
- Champion accessibility, performance optimization, and user-centered design principles at scale.
- Mentor and develop engineers within the UI Community, shaping the technical direction and fostering a culture of excellence.
