Evaluates the EMS personnel for areas of improvement in-patient care and assesses their educational needs. Ensures that the EMS Coordinator is aware of the areas and their needs. Answers questions for students and certified personnel in the systems regarding clinical situations.Hours: PRN as neededResponsibilities Anticipates and systematizes the educational programs to meet the needs of the pre hospital care provider., Assessment – Collects pertinent data and information relative to the patient’s health or the situation. Recognizes normal and abnormal findings when gathering data., Consolidates materials and information needed for courses and creates and designs tools to implement the learning process. , Coordination of Care – Plans and evaluates care in collaboration with appropriate disciplines., Demonstrates clinical and didactic competence while providing educational experiences for students., Demonstrates flexibility of assignments and scheduling. , Develops, implements and instructs assigned classes according to Federal and State of IL guidelines, rules and regulations, and curriculum criteria established by nationally recognized approving organizations for RN specialty certification classes., Diagnosis – Analyzes assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnosis, problems, issues., Evaluation – Evaluates progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes. Reports data and outcomes to others as appropriate., Facilitates high standards of pre hospital care. Accumulates, anticipates and assesses current trends and performances of pre hospital care. , Implementation – Implements care or work plan in alignment with the plan and approved safety, infection control,and department/organization standards., Knowledge – In collaboration with leaders, actively pursues required knowledge and skills through orientation activities specific to the position, reading current literature and seeking new learning opportunities., Manages an environment that promotes students self esteem, dignity, and safety. , Monitors and evaluates student performance and progress according to system, federal and state guidelines., Outcomes Identification – Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situations., Planning – Develops a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes., Promotes effective team relationships. , Relationships – Establishes effective working relationships with peers, physicians, and other members of the health care / work team. Identifies and confers with appropriate resources regarding patient / work decisions., Solicits and provides ongoing educational opportunities to EMS personnel., Teaching – Employs teaching strategies to promote health and a safe environment, Utilizes adult education theories as basis for instructing students, providing an environment conducive to learning.Requirements ADN (Required)ACLS Instructor Certification – Sarah Bush Lincoln, Basic Life Support Instructor Certification – Sarah Bush Lincoln, BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire. – Sarah Bush Lincoln, Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructor Certification – Sarah Bush Lincoln, RN-Registered Nurse – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional RegulationCompensation Estimated Compensation Range $29.08 – $45.07Pay based on experience
