What You’ll Do

As a Loan Processor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring loans move smoothly from application to closing. You’ll work closely with loan officers, underwriters, and clients to verify information, gather documentation, and ensure every file meets investor and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Review borrower information including income, assets, credit, and employment details for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and organize full loan files for underwriting review.
  • Communicate directly with loan officers and borrowers to collect outstanding documentation.
  • Verify all compliance disclosures (RESPA, TIL, HMDA, Reg. B, etc.) are complete and accurate.
  • Order and review third-party items such as title work, appraisals, flood certs, and payoff statements.
  • Monitor pipeline and meet turn-time expectations for processing milestones.
  • Maintain detailed notes and documentation in the loan file system.
  • Collaborate with closing, secondary marketing, and servicing to resolve suspense conditions.
  • Support training of new processors as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in residential mortgage processing.
  • Familiarity with Encompass software required.
  • Working knowledge of lending regulations and compliance guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple files in a fast-paced environment.
