Software Engineer – Java

Location: Columbus, OH

Salary: $65.00 USD Hourly – $75.00 USD Hourly

Description: Our client is currently seeking a Software Engineer – Java

W2 only position. No C2C

Must haves: Java 11 or newer, Spring, Enterprise experience, Selenium, Cucumber

Nice to haves: AWS – S3, Lambda, Kafka, Terraform

6 years of professional experience

Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability

Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and databases.

Proficient in coding in one or more modern programming languages like Java, React, Javascript, HTML, CSS

Strong in RESTful API implementation, Spring & Spring Boot, micro-services architecture and databases

Hands-on experience in AWS specifically ECS/EKS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, Step functions, storage services.

Experience working in Kafka, Cassandra/NoSQL, relational databases

Knowledge of CI/CD deployment with tools such as Jenkins, Maven or Gradle

Preferred skillsets:

Experience in developing automated tests using Cucumber, Karate, Jest

Experience with deployment in the cloud using Terraform

Practical cloud native experience

Knowledge of Domain Driven Design and micro
