Job Title: Senior Integration Engineer – MuleSoft

Location: Quincy, MA (Hybrid)

Contract: 12months – (Possible extension)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Senior Integration Engineer with strong leadership capabilities to join our technology team. This role will focus on planning, architecting, designing, and implementing integration solutions using MuleSoft and other technologies. The engineer will play a key role in optimizing enterprise-wide IT systems and applications, with a particular focus on public health data integration projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of middleware solutions using Mulesoft and other integration technologies.
  • Install, configure, and administer integration platforms, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Design, develop, and maintain APIs (SOAP & REST).
  • Collaborate with application development teams to build secure and scalable API capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain service/API registries.
  • Conduct code reviews and document unit test results and deployment procedures.
  • Participate in project planning, design, development, and release management.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and operation of systems.
  • Coordinate vendor support when necessary.
  • Create and maintain documentation, design artifacts, and task lists.
  • Research and recommend new tools, techniques, and solutions for integration standards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience:

  • 3 years of hands-on experience with Mulesoft, including connector integration (e.g., Salesforce).

  • 10 years of experience in software development.

  • Experience with other integration tools (e.g., Informatica).

  • Strong background in Java/J2EE and Oracle OSB 12c.

  • Familiarity with AWS services (API Gateway, Glue, WAF).

  • Experience with XML, JSON schema, TLS/SSL, and digital encryption/signatures.

  • Knowledge of Azure OAUTH and JWT.

  • Proficiency with development tools like SVN, Git, SOAPUI, and Postman.

  • Skills:

  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

  • Strong design, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and mentor junior team members.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 8 years in IT roles.
  • MuleSoft certification is preferred.
