Akkodis is seeking a Mainframe Z/os for a Contract with a client inPlano, TX. The ideal candidate willmanage incident requests, lead tool and system migrations, and collaborate with vendor partners to maintain SLA compliance and optimize operations.

Rate Range: $75/hour to 98/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Mainframe Z/os job responsibilities include:

  • Perform version upgrades and tool migrations for z/OS and related IBM products such as Omegamon, TWS, and Tivoli.
  • Support complex mainframe environments, including LPAR/MIPS management, backup/restoration, and datacenter migrations.
  • Install, configure, and maintain mainframe systems while managing capacity, performance, and remote administration.
  • Handle incident and service requests, collaborate with vendor partners to meet SLAs, and improve operational procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10-15 years of hands-on experience in mainframe system programming and administration.
  • Proven experience performing z/OS version upgrades and supporting IBM tool migrations (e.g., Omegamon, TWS, Tivoli).
  • Strong expertise in managing LPAR/MIPS environments, including backup/restoration and datacenter migrations.

Pay Details: $75.00 to $98.00 per hour
