Minimum Requirements:
8+ years of experience in software development and the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including Agile methodologies.
8+ years of experience with computer systems, programming languages, hardware/software, and operating systems.
8+ years of experience analyzing requirements and writing test plans/scenarios.
8+ years of experience analyzing software applications and defects to devise solutions.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Solid understanding of programming and testing concepts for web-based UI applications.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (strongly preferred).
Preferred Experience:
3+ years of experience with tools such as HP UFT, Katalon, HP LoadRunner, SoapUI, LoadUI, Selenium, HP ALM, HP PPM, SQL, XML.
3+ years of experience working in Agile teams with developers, testers, and end-users.
3+ years of hands-on experience in manual and/or automated testing using tools like UFT, SoapUI, Selenium, ALM, PPM, JIRA, JAMA, PLSQL.CANDIDATE
The QA Automation Engineer will support HHSC’s Social Services Applications initiatives by designing and executing automated test scripts, creating documentation for automated processes, and ensuring the quality of various web-based applications. The role involves working within an Agile environment to validate application functionality and support implementation efforts.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web-based applications.
Perform software quality assurance and testing for systems including TIERS, YourTexasBenefits.com, Mobile App, State Portal, and others.
Analyze requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to create test plans and scenarios.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Create and maintain technical documentation for automated testing processes.
Provide technical support during testing and implementation phases.
Employ contemporary testing methods to ensure application reliability and performance.
Participate in design, coding, and test walk-throughs to provide feedback on standards and requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
