Job Description
Your Role
The Individual Family Plan (IFP) and Small Business (SB) markets serve over 1M members, generating over $10B in revenue annually. The Financial Analyst, Experienced level, will report to the Director of Growth Finance. In this role you will perform analysis to monitor and report on membership growth and financial performance, as well as forecast future performance of the business segment. You will also work with the Actuarial team and Sales Executives to identify opportunities to improve financial performance and membership growth.

Your Work
In this role, you will:
- Monitor, analyze, and report on monthly financial and membership results vs. targets, plan, and forecast
- Research underlying business drivers and advise on potential areas of cost or growth impact
- Perform monthly membership forecasts as well as projections for long term performance of the business
- Make recommendations and assist in establishing the strategic direction of the lines of business
- Effectively conduct and communicate data analysis around membership and operating income to collaborate with business partners to drive business decisions
- Perform competitive analysis and market research to inform membership and operating projection
- Perform analysis to develop recommendations regarding product pricing, plan design, competitive position, and sales incentive plans
- Continuously improve existing processes to increase efficiency and accuracy of membership forecasts, reporting, and financial models
- Prepares business analysis reports and presentations for leadership
Qualifications
Your Knowledge and Experience
- Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Requires at least 3 years of prior relevant experience
- Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
- SAS experience preferred
- Hyperion Essbase experience preferred
- Ability to take complex problems or sets of data and create concise recommendations or reports
- Strong business aptitude, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Practical knowledge of Finance and Accounting processes and best practices preferred, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience

Two Ways of Working:

o Employees living more than 50 miles from their assigned offices are expected to work with their managers on a plan for periodic office visits.

- On-Site:Work from a business unit-approved office an average of four (4) or more days a week.

Office Environment – roles involving part to full time schedule in Office Environment. Based in our physical offices and work from home office/deskwork – Activity level: Sedentary, frequency most of work day.
