Location: Oklahoma City, OK

Duration: 12 Months

Schedule: On-Call (Approx. 20 hours/week) | Onsite, Remote, or Hybrid (Hybrid preferred)

Overview

A systems integration team is seeking a highly skilled engineer to support advanced aerospace programs. This role focuses on applying systems engineering principles to ensure mission success through robust reliability, maintainability, and system health solutions. The selected candidate will collaborate across disciplines to support the design, production, certification, and delivery of integrated systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify complex system-of-systems solutions
• Evaluate operational needs to define system performance requirements and ensure compatibility across all interfaces
• Conduct analyses to optimize system architecture, focusing on reliability, maintainability, diagnostics, system health, and testability
• Perform FMECA (Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis) and system health predictions at the component level
• Integrate specialty engineering factors such as affordability, safety, survivability, and regulatory compliance into system configurations
• Support and improve requirements management processes, risk and opportunity tracking, and technology readiness assessments
• Resolve cross-functional technical issues in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Day-to-Day Activities

• Generate component-level FMECA analyses and reliability predictions
• Conduct research and collaborate with engineering teams to validate system health models
• Participate in technical discussions to ensure alignment across disciplines and program goals

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, or Computer Science
• 9 years of experience in Systems Engineering and/or Software Development
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and organizational levels
• Critical thinking and adaptability in agile environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing systems using the Systems Engineering V model
• Background in requirements development and verification
• 5 years in Reliability, Maintainability, and System Health engineering
• 5 years in FMECA, reliability predictions, and/or reliability testing
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, or related field
• 3 years of software development experience
• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and practices
• Ability to lead and influence without formal authority
