Job Overview:
The Strategic Sourcing Partner I will support procurement teams by assisting with supplier onboarding, supplier renewals (in collaboration with business partners and suppliers), PR/PO/Coupa approvals, and contributing to mergers and acquisitions as well as Generative AI initiatives. This role requires a strong purchasing background, general supplier knowledge, and familiarity with Salesforce technology and procurement tools like Coupa. The position is fully remote, with a focus on U.S. time zones, and will report to the Director of Software on the Technology Sourcing Team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute software-related supplier sourcing strategies to ensure high quality, on-time delivery, and cost competitiveness.
- Negotiate, administer, and manage commercial contracts for software licensing, including SaaS and conventional software.
- Implement standard procurement best practices and build strong relationships with internal customers and suppliers.
- Consult on procurement best practices for cross-functional project teams.
- Utilize RFI, RFP, and RFQ techniques to identify, select, and engage with suppliers for competitive market advantage.
- Implement proactive procurement strategies, policies, procedures, and systems.
- Support integration efforts related to M&A activity for software categories.
- Monitor and improve supplier performance within the software category through effective supplier management.
Qualifications:
- Strong purchasing background with general supplier knowledge in the industry.
- Experience with Salesforce technology and procurement tools such as Coupa or similar purchase tools.
- Good understanding of business contract law and experience negotiating software licensing contracts.
- Proven track record of implementing procurement best practices and building strong internal and external relationships.
- Familiarity with tools such as S360, Coupa, and Slack (can be taught if not already known).
- 2-10 years of relevant experience preferred.

Pay Range: $30 – $35/hr.
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
