Software Engineer

Location: Montgomery, OH

Salary: $60.00 USD Hourly – $65.00 USD Hourly

Description: About the Role
As a Technology Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure systems across multiple technology domains. You’ll be responsible for driving engineering excellence throughout the project lifecycle-from architecture and integration to performance tuning and operational support. This role demands a proactive mindset, strong technical acumen, and the ability to mentor others while ensuring scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and administration of infrastructure systems including hardware, software, and configurations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure solutions meet performance, scalability, and disaster recovery requirements.
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for failed components.
• Develop and document operational procedures, scripts, and support processes.
• Ensure compliance with architecture standards and change/release management practices.
• Provide 24×7 support for infrastructure systems as needed.
• Mentor and coach team members to improve engineering processes and technical capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Proven experience in infrastructure engineering or support across one or more technical domains: security, databases, networking, collaboration tools, desktop environments, storage, backup/recovery, mainframe, UNIX, AS/400, Windows, Citrix, directory services, and integration (EAI, batch, real-time).
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business challenges into scalable technical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern DevOps practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
