Job Title: DC Crew Operations Lead
Job Location: Santa Clara, CA
Job Type: Contract
Job Description:
Pay Range: $47hr – $52hr
Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a remote contractor crew handling hardware installation, device bring-up, rack stacking, IP configuration, and diagnostics.
  • Oversee troubleshooting and triage of system issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Coordinate with facilities teams for power and liquid cooling support (no direct facilities work).
  • Ensure crew readiness for urgent and weekend tasks, including scaling resources as needed.
  • Maintain operational continuity through effective crew leadership and knowledge transfer.
  • Monitor task progress, quality, and compliance with operational standards. The
  • candidate will be highly responsive, organized, and capable of scaling team resources based on operational demand

Required Experience:

  • Proven experience in data center operations, prototype hardware. environments, and liquid cooling systems.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage remote teams and ensure consistent performance.
  • Experience in remote diagnostics and issue resolution.
  • Flexibility to support weekend and short-notice tasks.
  • Familiarity with operational KPIs and reporting.

Performance KPIs:

  • KPI : Description
  • Response Time :Speed of fulfilling crew requests, including urgent and weekend support.
  • Task Completion Rate : % of successful hardware installation, bring-up, and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Training Compliance :Completion rate of required onboarding and training.
  • Quality of Work :Number of post-installation issues or defects reported.
  • Operational Continuity :Consistency in crew lead presence and knowledge transfer.
  • Collaboration Effectiveness :Success in coordinating with managers and facilities teams.
  • Issue Resolution Time :Time taken to resolve reported problems and implement fixes.
