Proofreader
Are you a detail-oriented proofreader or editor with a passion for accuracy and clarity? We’re seeking a talented professional to join a fast-growing consumer goods and professional services organization focused on providing insurance and residential services to homeowners nationwide.
In this role, you’ll work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, editing and proofing a variety of marketing and insurance materials. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality, tone, and consistency of all collateral that reaches our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, proof, and edit marketing collateral, insurance materials, and consumer profiles for grammar, style, and accuracy
- Ensure all materials align with brand and compliance guidelines
- Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional proofreading or editing experience (marketing, communications, or publishing preferred)
- Strong command of grammar, punctuation, and AP or Chicago style
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a busy, team-oriented environment
- Must be able to work on-site occasionally for training or meetings in Chattanooga, TN or Norwalk, CT
Compensation & Details
- Location: Hybrid (90% remote) — occasional on-site days in Chattanooga, TN or Norwalk, CT
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Duration: 6+ month contract with strong potential for extension
- Pay Range:
- Chattanooga: $24–$28/hour (W2)
- Norwalk: $27–$33/hour (W2)
- Benefits: Eligible for health coverage, 401(k), and other standard benefits
