Role Description
This is a full-time role located in the New York City Metropolitan Area (remote-friendly). As the Founding Engineer, you will:
- Design and develop scalable software solutions
- Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure system reliability
- Lead engineering efforts and help establish best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products
- Play a key role in platform architecture and development
- Continuously improve performance, reliability, and sustainability of the codebase
Qualifications
- Proficiency in software development, including architecture design and development
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience in team leadership and project management
- Knowledge of testing, debugging, and performance optimization techniques
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience in start-ups or fast-paced environments is a plus
Requirements
- 4 years software engineering experience (full-stack or backend)
- Strong skills in TypeScript, React/Next.js, Node.js, Python
- Experience with APIs, integrations, or automation workflows
- Startup mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, ownership, and speed
- Bonus: early-stage startup or extension/integration experience
