Title: Principal Maintainability Engineer

Location: Sterling Heights, MI (On-site)

Contract: 6 Months

Pay: $69.97/hr. on W2

Job Summary: We are seeking a seasoned Principal Engineer specializing in Maintainability, Reliability, Availability, Maintainability (RAM), or Logistics Engineering. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in maintenance analysis, supportability engineering, and life cycle cost optimization. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to improve system supportability and ensure compliance with engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Maintenance Task Analysis, defining task steps, required tools, personnel, and estimated completion times.
  • Perform Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) to optimize system support strategies.
  • Calculate key metrics such as Maintenance Ratio, Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), and Maximum Time To Repair.
  • Analyze and document the impact of engineering changes on maintainability and logistics, including spares, tools, and personnel requirements.
  • Recommend design modifications to enhance supportability and reduce life cycle costs.
  • Develop and revise technical documentation, including input for technical papers and presentations.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Slicwave software.

  • Ability to independently perform:

  • Level of Repair Analysis

  • Maintenance Task Analysis

  • Reliability Centered Maintenance

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Reliasoft and Opus tools.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent military experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in Maintainability, RAM, or Logistics Engineering.
