Location: Medway, MA

Salary: $60.00 USD Hourly – $67.00 USD Hourly

Description: Our client is currently seeking a Engineer-Transport – II
[Title: Wireless Network Transport Engineer

Location: Medway, MA or Wallingford, CT (Hybrid)

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience and will focus on the configuration and documentation of Ethernet backhaul routers and switches for wireless fronthaul and backhaul, including IP support for RAN equipment integration. Experience with Nokia routers is preferred.

Must Have:

  • Previous experience as a Transport or WAN network engineer
  • Advanced knowledge of routing and switching hardware/software
  • Understanding of 5G Virtualized RAN deployments
  • Strong IP knowledge including subnetting, routing protocols, MPLS, and CLI interface

Even Better If You Have:

  • Nokia Certifications (NRS, SRA, MRP) or Cisco Certifications (CCNA, CCIP, CCIE)
  • Experience with DWDM optical systems (Ciena 6500, Fujitsu 9500)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical, Computer, or Electronics Engineering-or equivalent military experience
  • Wireless voice and data service experience (CDMA & LTE)
  • Familiarity with transport test equipment (JDSU & EXPO spectrum analyzers, OTDR)
  • Experience with Nokia products (IXR-E, 7705, 7750-SR1, 7750-A8, 7750-SR7, 7750-SR12)
  • Knowledge of Nokia router translation tools (e.g., Service Portal)

Experience using Granite/XNG, CND, or other circuit/path inventory systems
