Sr Advanced Mechanical Engineer
Akkodis is seeking a Sr Advanced Mechanical Engineer for a Contract with a client inPhoenix, AZ. This role focuses on advanced thermal and mechanical analysis of turbine components using tools like StarCCM and NX Thermal.
Rate Range: $52/hour to 60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Sr Advanced Mechanical Engineer job responsibilities include:
- Lead design and analysis of axial and radial turbine blades and vanes, including components with internal cooling features.
- Perform advanced thermal and mechanical analyses, including heat transfer and secondary cooling flow studies.
- Develop and calibrate 2D/3D thermal models using tools like NX Thermal and StarCCM for conduction-convection and conjugate heat transfer simulations.
- Utilize CAD software (e.g., NX) to create and manipulate complex geometries for turbine components.
- Communicate technical findings and recommendations effectively to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ensure engineering deliverables meet performance, durability, and compliance standards for gas turbine systems.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering; MS or PhD preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years in gas turbine engineering design and analysis.
- Proficiency in thermal analysis tools such as StarCCM and CAD software like NX.

Pay Details: $52.00 to $60.00 per hour
