Job Title: Workday Testing Lead

Job Location: Fremont, CA

Job Type: Contract

Job Description:

Pay Range: $65hr – $70hr

  • The QA Test Lead will be responsible for developing test strategies, coordinating multiple phases of testing, and ensuring quality across business and technical teams.
  • The role involves mentoring QA testers, leading defect triage sessions, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure successful testing outcomes and improved system performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive test strategies and scripts.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression, and end-to-end testing.
  • Lead defect triage sessions to drive efficient issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT teams to validate functional requirements.
  • Work closely with project managers to plan and execute testing activities.
  • Build and maintain a QA knowledge base to standardize processes.
  • Train and mentor global QA testers, enhancing overall testing capability.
  • Improve test coverage across modules, reducing post-go-live defects.
  • Utilize tools such as Jira, HP ALM, Teams, Excel, Workday Sandbox, and TestRail for collaboration and tracking.

Experience:

  • Proven experience leading QA teams and mentoring testers.
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies, defect management, and test automation.
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration with business and IT teams.
  • Hands-on experience with QA tools such as Jira, HP ALM, and TestRail.
  • Demonstrated success in improving testing efficiency and quality outcomes.
