Travelling Safety Officer — Leading Pharmaceutical Construction Contractor

Location: Based anywhere in the U.S. (Arizona preferred)

Travel: Nationwide — frequent project site travel

Experience Level: 2–5 years

Language: Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred)

About the Role

We’re representing a nationally recognized construction contractor delivering large-scale pharmaceutical and life sciences projects across the country. As a Travelling Safety Officer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of site safety and compliance across active job sites.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being on-site, traveling, and working directly with project teams to maintain and promote a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site safety inspections and audits across multiple active projects.
  • Ensure full compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety programs, and client-specific safety requirements.
  • Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Deliver safety orientations and toolbox talks to site personnel and subcontractors.
  • Assist project teams in developing and maintaining job hazard analyses (JHAs) and site-specific safety plans.
  • Investigate and report incidents, near misses, and corrective measures.
  • Serve as a safety resource and mentor for field personnel, promoting a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of safety experience in construction (pharmaceutical, industrial, or manufacturing environments preferred).
  • OSHA 30 certification required; additional safety certifications a plus (e.g., CHST, STS).
  • Experience conducting site audits, safety briefings, and training sessions.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
  • Must be willing and able to travel extensively throughout the U.S.
