MAKEUP BY MARIO, the #1 followed Makeup Artistry Brand on social, is looking for a passionate and digitally-savvy Social Media & Community Coordinator to join our growing team. As a key member of the Social Media team, you’ll be the voice of the brand across social platforms, building and nurturing a strong, loyal community through authentic interactions, real-time engagement, and trend-driven storytelling. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role ideal for someone who lives and breathes social, has a sharp eye for trends, and is passionate about the intersection of beauty, culture, and conversation. You’re quick with a clever reply, confident in crafting community-first copy, and thrive in moments that require both creativity and speed.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Be the daily voice of MBM across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, Facebook and other emerging platforms
  • Respond to comments, DMs, and tags in real time, always on-brand
  • Amplify UGC, creator content, and community shoutouts across social channels
  • Monitor and report on community sentiment, flagging key feedback and emerging trends
  • Partner with Customer Experience to provide thoughtful, brand-aligned responses and FAQs
  • Maintain flexibility with working hours, requiring availability during evenings orweekends to address community engagement needs and posting schedules
  • Support content planning and execution across platforms including scheduling,formatting, and posting
  • Assist in the creation of monthly content calendars and campaign content flows
  • Source emerging creators and relevant cultural moments to incorporate into social plans
  • Collaborate with internal creative and influencer teams to help ideate new content formats that resonate with our core audience
  • Assist with any social copywriting and captioning for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.
  • Stay on top of social, cultural, and beauty trends to keep MBM ahead of the curve
  • Develop engaging and on-brand captions and responses that drive community engagement
  • Use social listening and analytics to inform content direction and identify brand- building opportunities

Qualifications

  • Required 5 days in New York City office
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in social media, community management, or digital content
  • (beauty or fashion experience a plus)
  • Exceptional copywriting and communication skills with a strong grasp of brand voice
  • Deep knowledge of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, and emerging platforms
  • Proficient in tools such as Dash Social, Asana, Meta Business Manager, and CapCut
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced
  • environment
  • Working knowledge of Canva, Adobe Suite, and Google Workspace
