About The Role

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Visual Communicator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing engaging, user-centered digital experiences across web and mobile platforms. Your expertise in visual design principles, combined with your attention to detail and understanding of usability, will help craft interfaces that are both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional. You will collaborate closely with UX designers, developers, content strategists, and project managers in an Agile environment to deliver innovative solutions for clients in both the public and private sectors. Whether working remotely or in a hybrid setting, you will contribute to projects that prioritize accessibility, responsiveness, and clarity, ensuring that complex ideas are communicated simply and effectively. Your portfolio should demonstrate a diverse range of projects showcasing your design sensibilities and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a security clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or related field
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in UI, interaction, graphic, or product design
• Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD)
• Strong understanding of responsive design and user experience best practices
• Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS; hands-on coding experience a plus
• Robust portfolio demonstrating a variety of design projects and sensibilities
• Ability to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Webflow, Relume, or other low/no-code website builders
• Experience designing interfaces for WordPress, Drupal, AEM, or other content management systems
• Exposure to motion design or prototyping tools such as Adobe After Effects or Principle
• Previous involvement with design systems or scalable design frameworks
• Experience working within an Agile environment

Responsibilities

• Design visually appealing interfaces and dynamic interactions that simplify complex concepts
• Contribute to projects for clients across public and private sectors, ensuring high-quality deliverables
• Create intuitive, accessible, and responsive digital experiences for web and mobile platforms
• Work within existing design systems, contributing to their evolution and consistency
• Collaborate with UX designers, developers, content strategists, and project managers in an Agile setting
• Apply user-centered design principles to address real-world challenges and enhance usability
• Communicate design rationale clearly to clients and internal teams, facilitating understanding and buy-in
• Participate in ongoing learning and development to stay current with industry trends and best practices
