About The Role As the Founding Recruiter at Numeral, you will be instrumental in establishing and scaling our recruiting functions. This role involves managing the full recruitment lifecycle across multiple departments including engineering, product, go-to-market, and operations. You will collaborate closely with the executive team to attract top-tier talent, develop recruiting strategies, and build the foundational infrastructure necessary for rapid growth from 50 to 150 employees and beyond. Your consultative approach will help define hiring standards, streamline processes, and enhance the candidate experience. You will also be responsible for scaling our employer brand, implementing sourcing strategies, and optimizing recruiting operations through modern tools and systems. Qualifications

  • 8+ years of recruiting experience, with at least 3+ years in early-stage startup environments
  • Proven ability to manage multiple requisitions across technical and non-technical functions
  • Expertise in sourcing top-tier candidates using creative and innovative techniques
  • Experience in building and scaling recruiting processes, systems, and interview frameworks from scratch
  • Comfort working directly with C-level executives and serving as the primary hiring strategist
  • Excellent communication, writing, and operational skills—clear, concise, and action-oriented

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end hiring processes across all functions including engineering, product, sales, and operations
  • Partner with executive leadership and hiring managers to define role requirements, establish hiring standards, and close top candidates
  • Implement and scale recruiting operations, including ATS management (e.g., Ashby), scheduling, dashboards, and interview calibration
  • Lead top-of-funnel sourcing efforts and develop effective candidate outreach strategies
  • Create an exceptional candidate experience through transparent communication, timely feedback, and personalized engagement
  • Track and analyze recruiting metrics and KPIs; develop reports to inform hiring strategies and decisions
  • Contribute to employer branding initiatives, referral campaigns, and internal recruiting enablement programs
