About The Role The Technical Support Specialist 1 role at Redwood Family Care Network is an integral part of our IT support team. This position involves providing technical assistance and troubleshooting support to our staff and clients, ensuring that all hardware, software, and network systems operate smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, proactive, and capable of multitasking in a dynamic environment. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, supporting remote and on-site users, and maintaining our IT infrastructure to uphold the organization’s high standards of service delivery. Patience, professionalism, and excellent communication skills are essential qualities for success in this role.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a combination of education, certifications, and hands-on experience in information technology. A minimum of an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent work experience. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, and Google IT Support Professional Certification are highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux, along with proficiency in Google Workspace administration and troubleshooting. Familiarity with network equipment, remote monitoring platforms, and cybersecurity best practices will be advantageous. Excellent problem-solving skills, customer service orientation, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential for this role.

Responsibilities The primary responsibilities of the Technical Support Specialist 1 include providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, maintaining hardware and software systems, and supporting network infrastructure. Specific duties encompass diagnosing and resolving issues related to operating systems, network configurations, and peripheral devices. You will configure and support Unifi Network equipment, including access points, switches, and controllers, as well as utilize remote desktop tools and diagnostic utilities for effective problem resolution. Additionally, you will assist with mobile device support for iOS and Android platforms and ensure cybersecurity protocols are followed to protect organizational data. Managing support tickets through helpdesk systems, documenting solutions, and escalating complex issues when necessary are also part of your responsibilities. Your role is vital in ensuring minimal downtime, optimal system performance, and high customer satisfaction across the organization.
