About The Role

The Customer Service Representative role at CDS Global offers an exciting opportunity for individuals seeking a remote work environment. As a Customer Service Representative, you will handle customer inquiries received via email, chat, or inbound calls, providing timely and professional responses. You will interpret messages and calls, ensuring customer concerns are addressed appropriately while maintaining accurate customer account information. This position requires strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to adapt to a fast-paced environment. The role is ideal for those who are detail-oriented, customer-focused, and capable of working independently from a noise-free home workspace. CDS Global provides all necessary equipment, and the position offers flexible work arrangements within Iowa, primarily near Boone, Des Moines, or Wilton.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Background in customer service advantageous
  • Proficiency in PC use and basic computer skills
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Minimum typing speed of 20-25 words per minute
  • Experience with 10-key typing preferred
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Stable high-speed internet connection with hard-wired setup (minimum download speed of 7 MBPS and upload speed of 2 MBPS)

Responsibilities

  • Handle customer inquiries via email, chat, and inbound calls professionally and efficiently
  • Interpret messages and calls to respond appropriately to customer needs
  • Utilize computer systems to perform searches, look-ups, and maintain customer account information
  • Manage client-specific data using various resources accurately and securely
  • Communicate customer complaint trends and feedback to management for continuous improvement
  • Perform basic customer account transactions as needed
  • Maintain high performance standards and confidentiality at all times
  • Adapt to changes in procedures and workflows while remaining productive
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, vendors, and clients across all levels
  • Follow established company policies and procedures diligently
  • Perform additional customer service functions based on workload and call volume
