  • Carefully reviews plans, specifications and special provision to ensure compliance by contractors. Compiles field data, work reports, and other information as needed to prepare estimates and periodic reports. Makes detailed calculation to determine areas and volume for roadway and structural items.

  • Interprets plans, specifications, and special provisions to ensure compliance by the contractor. Keeps field notes, record work performed in site manager, computes and checks earthwork quantities, cross section, excel spreadsheets, bench marks and other related data to determine that specifications have been met.

  • Performs detailed construction inspection of road and bridge projects and ensures that construction meets the guidelines detailed in the plans, specifications, and special provisions. Accurately reports data and figures for partial and final pay estimates.

  • Inform supervisors in a timely manner of any construction related issues that may arise during construction.

  • May be required to perform other duties as necessary including, but not limited to, emergency/disaster support activities.

Construction Inspector 1 – $14.98/hourly
Construction Inspector 2 – $17.15/hourly
Construction Inspector 3 – $19.63/hourly
