Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior N **on-Destructive Test Tech to join our NDT team in Ridley Park PA.**
This position requires candidate to hold current NAS410 NDT Level II certification in Ultrasonic (UT) method.
Employee will be required to obtain a minimum of ASNT Level III certification in UT method within 12 months of hire. Failure to achieve or maintain the required certifications may lead to termination of employment.
This position will support NDT processes within the Total Quality team with duties including supporting certification testing, approving new and revised production techniques and conducting audits of NDT processes. In addition, this position will provide team leadership to NDT technicians and support leadership and business need including intermittent travel to additional Boeing locations, supplier sites and industry events as needed.
Position Responsibilities:
- Advises on advanced technology in non-destructive instrumentation and inspection principles, processes and techniques.
- Guides implementation of advanced inspection or test techniques.
- Develops innovative test processes and equipment.
- Consults suppliers and customers to resolve technical issues involving tests, processes and equipment.
- Develops principles and methods for analyzing test, inspection or statistical data.
- Consults on corrective action to resolve process or product anomalies.
- Participates on enterprise and industry teams to influence the standardization and regulation of training and certification requirements.
- Guides the development or improvement of non-destructive inspection or test techniques.
- Develops, deploys and implements tests or inspections and data collection techniques utilizing evolving technology.
- Develops program specific non-destructive testing documents.
- Develops and implements processes and procedures for new or revised non-destructive testing methods.
- Audits, validates and approves systems and techniques of suppliers and processors.
- Develops certification training and examinations.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
asic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Current NAS410 NDT Level II certification in Ultrasonic (UT) method
- More than 5 years of experience working with composites
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience implementing continuous process improvement, lean processes, and employee involvement and engagement strategies in a manufacturing environment
Travel:
Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Summary pay range: USD $110,000 – $140,000
