Job Summary A Project Technical Assistant is needed for a manufacturing company considered one of the world’s leading innovators in materials science in the Winston-Salem, NC area. A detail-oriented Project Technical Assistant is needed to provide technical, administrative, and scheduling support for the Ranger project, requiring proficiency in MS Project and Excel for documentation, data analysis, troubleshooting, and coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Support the successful execution of the Loose Tube Equipment Conversion project (Ranger).
  • Provide technical, administrative, and operational support to the project team.
  • Assist in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of project activities.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met.
  • Provide technical input and support during project design and execution phases.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation (technical reports, meeting minutes, progress updates).
  • Compile and analyze data to generate reports for stakeholders.
  • Ensure proper documentation of project changes, risks, and issues.
  • Support the installation, operation, testing, and maintenance of technical systems or equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with the technical team.
  • Assist in the development and testing of project prototypes or systems.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams, stakeholders, and project management.
  • Schedule and coordinate project meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide updates to team members and stakeholders.
  • Support the procurement of project-related materials and equipment.

Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project.
  • Data analysis, PowerPoint presentation, Excel data stratification/Pivot.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting technical issues.
  • strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years in a technical or project support role.
