Sr. Power Electronics Test Engineer
Responsibilities
- Familiarity with energy storage systems, solar inverters, or other grid-tied power products is beneficial.
- Experience with automation and scripting for compliance testing, particularly with Python.
- Develop and execute engineering and pre-compliance test plans by interpreting and applying various standards, such as UL 1741, IEEE 1547, and IEC 61000 Series.
- Configure test setups, including both hardware and firmware, process the resulting data, and submit findings for official certification.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a comparable level of hands-on experience.
- A minimum of five years of experience performing compliance testing on power electronics or grid-interactive inverters.
- Hands-on experience with major standards like UL 1741, IEEE 1547, and IEC 62109.
- Demonstrated proficiency in successfully completing product certifications.
- Practical experience with both grid-interactive and grid-support standards and codes.
