USAMM is the premiere Armed Forces Super Store in America and principally based in a brand new 30,000 square foot headquarters and production / fulfillment facility in Killeen, Texas — one hour north of Austin.
USAMM is a famous brand amongst the U.S. military community, established 20 years ago, in 2005, and now employing more than 130 full time employees. We continue to grow, every year, and are seeing unprecedented demand in 2025 as we proudly serve our military community. Qualifications:
USAMM is looking for two full-time purchasing professionals in Killeen, Texas, to manage more than 30,000 SKUs in a complex and demanding production and order/fulfillment environment. We carry thousands of finished products for the dress and garrison uniforms for all six branches of the U.S. Armed Forces but, in addition, produce a litany of custom made-to-order products that depend on a robust supply of unfinished products that we then fabricate into uniform accessories. It is critical to keep all of these inputs in perfect supply to ensure our production department is always operational.
Candidates must have a demonstrated success record and significant experience in managing a complex inventory mix and a broad understanding of managing that inventory in a production environment. Our business depends on never running out of stock of all the various inputs into our production processes. This requires a feverish commitment from our purchasing professionals, on a daily basis, in ensuring supply issues are preempted long before they become a problem.
Candidates must also be familiar with dealing with suppliers, ensuring excellent pricing, and developing professional and healthy relationships with all of our supply partners. This professional must be dedicated to the idea that we can always do better, constantly questioning internal processes and controls in an effort to improve all facets of our inventory management and production processes.
This position demands high energy, exceptional organizational, inventory management skills, and the ability to move mountains. We’re not looking just looking task masters, but for problem solvers and technicians with a bent on efficiency and high quality and getting the best quality products to our customers in a timely fashion.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be critical.
These are in-house positions, reporting directly to the COO. No remote work will be considered. Candidates must have a genuine admiration and respect for our incredible military customers – who are individuals serving in the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Space Force – and what they do for our country.
Pay:
This is a salaried position starting at $65,000 / annually with excellent opportunities for advancement for those that excel.
