Must have:

– I require an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Computer Engineering, or a related field. – I am looking for candidates with over 3 years of experience in industrial controls, automation, or embedded systems. – A strong comprehension of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Ethernet/IP, and Profibus is essential. – Familiarity with firmware testing tools, version control, and upgrade utilities is necessary. – I value excellent documentation and technical writing skills. – The ability to train and assist field personnel with varying degrees of technical expertise is important.

Responsibilities:


  • I expect you to research and assess firmware updates for industrial control devices (PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, etc.). – You will need to develop and implement test plans to validate firmware functionality and compatibility in both lab and field settings. – You will be responsible for creating comprehensive, user-friendly firmware upgrade procedures and documentation. – Training field technicians and engineers on firmware upgrade processes, tools, and best practices will be part of your role. – I want you to collaborate closely with engineering, IT, and operations teams to coordinate firmware deployments and minimize downtime. – Ensuring all firmware activities adhere to internal standards and regulatory requirements, as well as maintaining accurate records of firmware versions and upgrades, is crucial.
