Must have:

– I am seeking candidates with over 10 years of advanced scripting experience in Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ruby, or similar languages to automate routine tasks. – I require at least 10 years of practical experience in writing Chef Cookbooks and Ansible Playbooks that fully automate tool deployment. – Candidates should possess 10 years of database or datastore experience, including the deployment of database technologies via automation such as NoSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or MsSQL. – I am looking for individuals who have at least 10 years of extensive experience with Agile methodologies, particularly Kanban workflows. – A minimum of 10 years in a System Administrator role or a similar function is essential. – Candidates with 10 years of cybersecurity experience, particularly around enterprise best practices for security and hardening with a focus on PCI-DSS, will be prioritized. – Familiarity with code repositories like Git is a must for at least 10 years. – Candidates with background experiences supporting IT infrastructure in financial institutions for 10 years are preferred. – I also expect you to have at least 10 years’ expertise in patching, upgrading, and troubleshooting Linux and Windows operating systems, packages, and applications. – At least 7 years of experience with Test Driven Development and binary repositories such as jFrog or Nexus is necessary. – A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with AKS, Kubernetes, Docker, or other containerization technologies is required. – Familiarity with cybersecurity principles related to hardening enterprise systems is crucial. – Experience with large enterprise processes and working in siloed environments requiring detailed change management and control processes is desirable. – Experience using and integrating SIEM technologies is beneficial. – Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including firewall, routing, switching, load balancing, and proxy principles is required. – Extensive experience in environments with established infrastructure management processes, such as change and problem management, is valuable.

Responsibilities:


  • I will need you to support the deployment and maintenance of IT and IT Security tools and systems for NFCU. – Advanced scripting skills will be utilized to automate tasks, integrations, and service responses using technologies like Ansible, Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ruby, and others. – You will create advanced automations for manual processes and design or implement AI-supported response actions. – Implementing API integrations to enhance data across the cybersecurity ecosystem will be part of your duties. – I expect you to upgrade and troubleshoot Linux and Windows-based operating systems, packages, and applications. – You will deploy and maintain commercially available cybersecurity applications and appliances. – It will be your responsibility to remediate vulnerabilities on Windows and Linux systems, ensuring the stability and sustainability of supported platforms through diligent monitoring, maintenance, patching, and administration. – Tasks will include renewing and updating certificates, responding to audit requests, and providing after-hours support as needed. – You will contribute to updating subtasks, stories, and epics for ongoing work while maintaining comprehensive internal engineering documentation (e.g., tool documentation, lessons learned, procedures, status updates). – Collaboration with other analysts and engineering teams will be essential to build, optimize, and streamline new and existing processes. – You will translate customer issues and opportunities into technical and business requirements.
