Must have:

– Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in computer science, engineering, or a technology-related field, or equivalent through a combination of education and/or technology experience, or 12 years of technology experience. – A minimum of 5 years of technology experience. – At least 6 years of experience in identifying technical solutions for complex business challenges, analyzing benefits and risks of these solutions, and making recommendations. – Must have indefinite employment authorization; this position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with business units, application teams, infrastructure areas, and vendors to identify, review, and evaluate solution requirements. – Investigate and recommend strategic opportunities for virtualization, consolidation, and rationalization within the infrastructure or business. – Propose modifications to technical design solutions as necessary. – Assess and align strategic solutions across platforms specific to system hardware and software technologies. – Engage in long-term capacity planning and technology investment decisions. – Provide consulting and guidance for moderate to complex projects. – Collaborate with other infrastructure areas and departments on various initiatives to meet organizational objectives. – Consult with project teams on architectural design, development, integration opportunities, and planning of complex systems. – Map requirements to standard service solutions, identify opportunities for integration, and provide cost-effective solutions for complex projects. – Review and manage requirements for moderate to complex solutions, performing cost-value feasibility and risk analysis. – Develop and update architectural standards, guiding principles, rationales, and strategies. – Evaluate and approve highly complex design solutions for business and infrastructure projects. – Keep management up to date on activities through accurate, timely, and appropriate reporting. – Actively participate in committees representing the department or planning unit.

This key Staff Engineer role will play an instrumental part in engineering sophisticated loan and credit processing systems that form the backbone of our Commercial Loans division. The successful candidate will thrive on exceeding the expectations of business stakeholders, nurturing and mentoring technical staff, crafting exceptional user experiences, and demonstrating a strong commitment to achieving positive results while overcoming both technical and business hurdles. Preferred Qualifications: – Salesforce Platform Developer Certification(s). – AWS Cloud Certifications or significant prior experience with AWS components. – A solid understanding of REST/SOAP APIs and middleware technology. – Knowledge of loan processing systems. – Prior experience within Commercial or Retail banking. – Expertise in Copado for CI/CD and release management. Work Environment: – Category C: In-office days will be designated or may vary from 2-5 days each week. – Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday. – Salary: To be determined based on individual experience.
