MUST HAVE

Direct, hands-on engineering experience in chocolate and confectionary food manufacturing

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Optimize and maintain key plant utilities like compressed air systems and boilers
  • Lead capital improvement projects focused on enhancing production capacity
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical failures to minimize downtime
  • Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs for equipment
  • Ensure all engineering activities adhere to FDA, OSHA, and GMP standards
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
  • Manage external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and services
  • Support the design and installation of new food-grade processing equipment

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial)
  • Extensive experience in continuous improvement and project management engineering
  • Proven experience with air pressure or utility systems in an industrial setting
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in a food plant
  • Strong project management skills for leading facility upgrades and modifications
