Must have:
We require candidates to hold a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). A minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience is typically mandated, or 3 years paired with a related advanced degree. We also seek proficiency in any of the following areas: Datalink or Communications System design, integration and support of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) radio systems or Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) radio systems, and communications link analyses. Experience in troubleshooting and performing hardware acceptance testing is essential.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will serve as the authoritative engineer responsible for data link systems across a product portfolio. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with customers and stakeholders to comprehend requirements, providing technical support, and managing program delivery timelines. You will oversee test equipment support for data link testing, which involves securing approvals, conducting initial tests, and training team members on equipment utilization. Additionally, you will conduct and evaluate concept and performance trade studies, link budget analyses, and demonstrate developed capabilities for data link communication applications. You will also perform hardware and software communication architecture trade studies and provide engineering support through design reviews, peer reviews, and presentations to both internal leadership and external clients.
