Work requires specialization in two or more technical trades that supports the maintenance of facilities and related equipment/machinery.

  • Employees will function at the journey level in multiple skilled trades such as electrical, plumbing, masonry, heating and air, or similar specializations.
  • Must effectively function with limited oversight and seek input from higher level trade specialists in the completion of novel maintenance problems and issues.
  • Responsible for diagnosing problems with facilities (including mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems), purchasing required materials, repairing the issue and closing work orders.
  • Responsible for processing invoices and maintaining accurate financial records and vehicle logs.

**The position is based in Fayetteville, NC, but the selected candidate will travel to multiple North Carolina National Guard facilities in the Southeast Region of the state on a daily basis.**This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with .Note to Current State Employees:

  • Documented experience in performing facility maintenance
  • Documented experience in at least two of the following trades: Plumbing, Electrical, Structures and Fire Alarms)
  • Documented experience in the general preventative maintenance of facilities and infrastructure.
  • Documented experience in inventory control or accountability of equipment/tools
