Client Overview Numbers meet purpose! Our client, a mission-driven healthcare organization, is looking for a detail-loving Senior Payroll Coordinator to join their team on a short-term contract. If payroll is your jam and you have mastered the art of accuracy, compliance, and garnishment management, this role will keep you engaged from day one.

Salary/Hourly Rate $24/hr – $26/hr

Position Overview As a Senior Payroll Coordinator, you will be the go-to pro for making sure every paycheck is flawless, every adjustment reconciles, and every compliance box is checked. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in problem-solving, knows their way around payroll laws, and is not afraid to tackle wage garnishments or tax levies head-on. Bonus points if you have worked with CDPAP – but no worries if not!

Responsibilities Of The Senior Payroll Coordinator

  • Process and manage payroll accurately and on time.
  • Handle payroll adjustments and resolve discrepancies with ease.
  • Maintain organized and detailed payroll records.
  • Conduct audits and investigate variances.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state wage and hour laws.
  • Manage and process wage garnishments and tax levies.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Partner on continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Payroll Coordinator:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have direct experience handling wage garnishments and tax levies.
  • Comfortable working with or developing SOPs.

Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Payroll Coordinator:

  • Familiarity with CDPAP (Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program).
  • Prior experience in healthcare or related industries.

Education Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
