Mechanical Engineer

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an automation product development environment, knowledge of Semiconductor equipment, high vacuum, wafer processing equipment, SEMI standards
• CAD: Must have recent Creo, Agile/AgileCE, FEA/CFD, AutoCAD
• Strong knowledge of fundamentals of components as robotic mechanisms, including motors, bearings, sensors, actuators
• Strong knowledge of automation controls, robotics, semiconductor system integration
• Knowledge of materials and mechanical fabrication process, good design practices for the material of choice (precision machining, sheet metal fabrication)

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the design/development, modification, and evaluation of primarily mechanical systems, equipment, and packages for the semiconductor industry.
• Produce and release 3D models, drawings, and BOMs.
• Work cooperatively with electrical and SW engineering to ensure new product designs will function per the market and customer requirements.
• Build & test prototypes, hold cross-functional design reviews, and publish DR/DVT records.
• Support operations, supply chain, field service, and the quality organization as needed to ensure the product line can be sustained and function reliably.
